This is Dr. Gumboc, one of the surgeons who performed my total knee replacement. He is a quiet, self effacing kind of guy who you cannot help but admire and respect. The senior surgeon is Dr. Lee. I didn't have a chance to snap his photo yet but I haven't given up. Dr. Lee is a wonderful, caring surgeon. No question or concerns are off limits with him. He and Dr. Gumboc were open and patient with the many many questions thrown at them by yours truly.

Here is Patty. Patty is in charge of a research study on total knee replacements. We met her before the day of surgery. She explained the study and visited in the hospital daily. Surgery was Tuesday and I came home on Friday. We will see Patty again tomorrow (Monday) when we return to the hospital to begin PT.
John snapped this photo while I was dozing. We were really lucky in that we wound up with a private room. John spent each night with me and was the very best attendant anyone could possibly ask for.
