Tonight was our last visit, for a while, to ThaiNY. We both ate red curry. It was sooooo good! Here is one of the people who visited with us while we were in the restaurant. We received some pointers on how to pronounce some of the few words we have learned in Thai. Wish we could visit with them a little more often.
Here is John with the kind lady who helped us with dinner. She also gave me some pointers on speaking Thai. We only have 34 days to go!

Good luck to both of you, what an experience. I am a master’s student, studying ESL and just came across your blog. I know the adventure that is before you will be a life changing one for you and the people you will be helping. Thailand is a beautiful country, with wonderful people, and amazing food. I read that you were hoping for South Africa but I think you will be pleasantly surprised with Thailand. I have personally fallen in love with that region of the world. Much of it has to do with the girl I met in college 10 years ago and then married. She is Malaysian and as such, we make frequent trips to and from S.E. Asia. The more I visit the harder it gets to leave. For a weekend excursion come visit Malaysia some time, its very cheap ($20-30) and short flight with Air Asia http://www.airasia.com . I will keep checking back with your blog and who know I may see you over there next year. We plan to be back in Malaysia May and June 2008.
